Lexington’s Police and Firefighter Pension and Disability

The Lexington Forum is excited to close out its 2010-2011 program year with a panel discussion on the hot-button issue of Lexington’s Police and Firefighter Pension and Disability fund which is facing unfunded liabilities of approximately $222 million.
Lexington attorney Bill Lear will lead the panel discussion with a brief history. Lexington Forum board member Dr. Ray Garman will provide a brief definition of disability under the current plan. Council Representative Doug Martin and attorney Don  Todd will offer opposing perspectives on whether or not the system should be changed. This will be followed by a question and answer session.
